Because you need to read the rules, that's why I didn't allow. This isn't the sub for personal deals, too many scammers.

Hola Rubicon!

Let me tell you story 'bout a young inexperienced Angie. But I am talking to two people.

Person 1: Cash-to-Crypto falls under running an unlicensed Money Transmission Business (MSB) with FinCEN. Look at all the major crypto/launder/cash busts and they get them on count one for running an illegal MSB. You don't want to be that guy.

Person 2: Angie veered down this path very early in her career. Got a knock on the door. Dudes in letter jackets. Learned a lesson. Then actually did something with that new recently obtained MSB knowledge in the real world to make money. 12k CTRs and 1k SARs later, and maybe a IRS Title 31 thrown in there -- TWICE WHICH WE PASSED -- we had a whole compliance division and god it cost a lot. ** Numbers changed to protect the lawful citizens. But you get the idea.

Welcome to tforum, Agent. /u/MrBacon420 will take great care of you. 👮🏼♀️ 🚔 🚨

just wondering.... for person 2....are you saying you were notified by your banks that they issued over 1k individual sar's on your accounts? and they did so in violation of 31 U.S.C. § 5318(g)(2)??? or are you saying after the knock on the door you filed your Form 107 and became MSB and you filed 12k of CTRs and the 1k of SARs on clients monies??? inquiring minds want to know...but fully agree the fincen road is not where anyone wants to be on the wrong side of...which is why delivery of goods/products keeps you out of the legal sight-line....and being new i am missing the dig at the end....is it a dig at the poster assuming he is an agent of law or is it a dig a mrbacon with the emojis??? thanks in advance

No. I'm saying that my company and compliance department filed over 1k SARs and 12k CTRs on others who did business with us over the course of X time. I am (was) on the banking side of this not the customer. And yes, it's a crime for us an institution to acknowledge the existence of a SAR :)
