cashapp says they will hold funds from 7-10 business days out of nowhere

It is not 'out of nowhere'. Many exchanges do this for various reasons. It is not just CashApp but the level of trust between your bank's own restrictions and fraud prevention, compliance purposes, and sometimes background checks. Fraud is at an all-time high so it very well could also be your bank making sure that the transaction is valid.

As of January 1, 2026, some exchanges are regulated to place funds on hold as a security and regulatory/compliance measure designed to protect both you, your bank and the exchange from fraud and illegal transactions.

If you used a "payment gateway" the fraud risk score is very high.

You should buy Litecoin and swap it to XMR as the fees will be much less and it doesn't draw as much attention as BTC.

Don't buy it with card or any kyc exchange, bad idea. Use cash by mail on Retoswap, or purchase litecoin from crypto atm and swap it to Monero using Retoswap/Trocador.

Great, compromise privacy just because you can't wait for one week. It probably will take at least a few days, if you truly cannot wait then crypto atms are an option too. Also if you are buying every week, then it will just arrive every week as well, but delayed the first time? If you mess up because of bad practices or get fucked by cashapp again then don't say no one warned you.

if you want to be fast, try buying on a platform without KYC, you can start p2p transactions, use someone else's account to keep you anonym

of course your opsec is very good
