I know there are resources out there and I am doing my own research, just looking for advice from those who have direct experience.

So title pretty much explains it, whats the best method for doing this. and is monero still considered the gold standard for anonymous transactions? Or is there a better coin thats better fitted for the job?

If anyone with extensive knowledge on this can give me their input would be awesome. Better yet if you're feeling nice enough to give me some step by step instructions for the best way to go about it, it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your tips

Use XMR, is the best cryptocurrency for privacy and anonymity:) (That's not going to change), use an exchange to convert any cryptocurrency to XMR and vice versa.

https://kycnot.me/ (tor link is down)

Why monero?

monero uses:

- RandomX (ASIC-resistant)

- Ring Signatures (15 decoys per transaction)

- Stealth Addresses (sender addr, recipient addr)

Amount of transactions remains in privacy (only sender and recipient see this data)

Monero remains the most standard, and secure crypto asset, Monero transactions themselves remains fully untracable.

The problem isn't Monero itself, but the process of obtaining it. Many people will tell you about buying BTC or LTC and then converting it but it may not be that simple for you and I'm sure that this advice already caused some trouble to people. But of course, it always depend on where you from...

Opening an account on KYC exchanges to buy BTC or LTC and then converting it; it's an absolute mistake. In any case, you would have to find a non-KYC exchange.

But... even so, depending on how strict your government is, you can still run into problems.

There are governments (within Europe) that are EXTREMELY strict with cryptocurrencies. You might be all happy and for example you go an open an account on Coinbase, buy BTC/LTC, convert it to XMR, and think everything's fine... But then you run into surprises, and when you file your taxes, you get a nice little warning telling you they've detected that you bought cryptocurrencies and that you need to declare them (because you were stupid enough to buy cryptocurrencies with a card in your name and you've already been ripped off.). Now, buddy, you've got a problem... Explain where that money went and prove it... Good luck... Many governments have literally banned the use of Monero, so you can't just say, "No, I converted to Monero to buy XXX." You're screwed. But, it will depend on your government rules, so do your own investigation blood.

The method I prefer is P2P trading. What it is? There's a guy who has XMR and wants cash in exchange. So, you make a deal: you send him cash by mail/package, and when he receives it, he sends you the money. Cash rules, bro. It seems "dangerous," but I've never had any problems. Besides, if you're European and both your country and your peer's are part of the Schengen Area, I highly doubt you'll ever have any issues. You can thank European policies and free trade of goods between European countries for that.

IMPORANT: If some idiot sends you a direct message on tforum offering you a P2P deal for Monero, tell them to fuck off, find a reliable provider with good reviews, and go from there.

My personal guy is @trade24crypto in Telegram, he is "flyingpilot" in what was used to be LocalMonero. Even so, I recommend you do your research to feel confident in yourself and find your own "peer". Take a look at xmrbazaar.com, also, save kycnot.me, it will be usueful for u in the future, if you believe your government won't give you trouble with bank transactions in exchange for cryptocurrencies, just do the BTC/LTC then swap it to XMR using one of those fee abusive swappers LOL.

I don't know what the "Haveno" state is, I haven't even tried it, but you could look into it as well.

Another thing, use your own Monero node to receive transactions; look up Monero GUI and how to run your own node.
