I've written a browser malware extension scanner in python which greatly simplifies scanning for malicious extensions.
This is the scanner I've written in python which greatly simplifies the process of finding addons which are worth taking a closer look at:
https://github.com/ernos/browser-xpi-malware-scanner
Many of these infected extensions are still available for download on the addons.mozilla.org even though numerous emails from me warning them.
For articles on how to use the scanner and a README, check out the github page. The articles should be somewhere at the very top, otherwise the README.md explains it all pretty well how to use this scanner effectively (I'm unsure if you are allowed to post links to unknown pages here so I will assume that is not allowed until someone tells me otherwise)
I've identified probalby at least a few dozen of malicious extensions and contacted Mozilla about it but most of them are still available for download. All of them ranging from between 100-80k daily users.
Programming
A python built malware/malicious browser extension scanner which is super fast and easy to use. Open source.
