Hello guys, most websites on the surface web now use cloudflare to protect them. What I am wondering is it possible to actually ddos and take down the website from say just my home internet over tor without having to use a botnet? Thanks.

No.If you could render cloudflare useless with just your home internet they wouldn't even exist. What even is this question. You can try to find the IP behind cloudflare and have a better chance but from a singular home connection they'd need a serious misconfiguration for you to abuse.
Well, it wouldn't be a DDOS if you could do that, would it? It'd just be a DOS.
But obviously, no of course it's not possible.
