Can onion services have a CDN? I remember that Archetyp Market had DDOS GUARD. Wouldn't that be a violation of the ip? Is there a way to hide a surface service ip with a CDN?

Most darknet marketplaces have a surface service where they post market links. This service is more vulnerable because it is superficial, but how do they manage to hide it? there are other examples, such as DrugHub.

In a simple sense yes onion's can have a self hosted CDN by using onionbalance. When it comes to the clearnet most sites use DDOS GUARD or Cloudflare to hide the origin IP address.
