That's not entrapment. This person would have accepted the drugs anyway. The police didn't force them to do something illegal.

Entrapment is when a cop orders you to do something illegal, and you only do it because they told you to. Say a cop directs you to cross onto private property at an intersection, then arrests you for trespassing. You wouldn't have gone there normally - you only did it because the cop ordered you to.

If indeed that's what happened, that pretty much means just like with bullshit dog sniffs on a 'routine' traffic stop, if they want you bad enough, they'll find a simple way to legally get a warrant and the charges would surely stick, because proving who ordered the coke is like proving they planted drugs when their body cam 'malfunctioned"

I definitely wouldn't put it past some small Jersey shore town's narcotics unit to have intelligence about his operation, but despite knowing full well, the guy also knew who the town snitches were and refused to sell to or incriminate himself in front of them.

To me, it seriously seems like some local cops couldn't find someone close enough to this guy that he would actually sell to, so they could get their probable cause.

They probably got angry because they likely heard the town gossip about what he was up to, but everyone this guy did business with was solid.

I think he was under investigation but they couldn't set him up properly since he probably went to elementary school with all the town snitchrs, so the fucking coke head small town narcotics detective who's probably who orders off DNM's when there's no 'evidence' for him to get into had $300 in their slush fund available to drop ship 15g's to get a search warrant.

Despite them charging him for distributing, all those drugs besides the weed are actually very very small amounts... I picture he had some sort of 'fear & loathing' drug collection ...
