What is the best way to learn java?

Underrated answer. Used to love it but there's so many better alternatives nowadays.

interactive coding tutorials, then break the code. Throw it into AI tell it to break the code. Then you try and fix it. Also reading documentation

ill say that android development is heavily based on java, even the alternatives just compile and allow other stuff, but java still have plenty of spotlight in the industry (lets not forget java is basically an enterprise oriented programming language, java was meant for big companies not solo developers), a lot of well known old time surviving/thriving systems, still do java

im sure people said it already but experience, create large scale application(android or spring), understand how it works.

development is a really big subject, programming language is just 25% of programming, you have security, infrastructure, architectures, and much more that is general in all programming languages.

make projects that will make you experience the programming languages and concepts (roadmap.sh is a good starting point).

also really important find a mentor who is proficient in programming languages and study the fuck out of him, he can teach you years of experience in moments.

and ofc the most important, fucking love what you doing, if you in it for boredom relief or money making, you won't find of them just do something you love, if you love it, then this question was a waste of time, go and fucking do what you love!!!!

All valid points. I've been commenting with the learning process in mind but it's true Java is still widely-used and isn't going anywhere soon.

ASU has a $25 college course for Java, you just need to sign up to it's earned admission program and it's basically a more thorough and practical version of CodeAcademys courses. Honestly really worth it imo.

Make mods for minecraft java edition. Or the minecraft legacy console edition, since the source code has freshly leaked and it's a mix of C++ and some legacy java code if I recall correctly.

you dont want to learn java. if any company needs it they have it on lifesupport, if not they use kotlin which is like a subset of java by jetbrains. id start there if i were you.
