Is it a bad idea to use same Mullvad "account" on both iOS (yes there is an iOS app) and for dark net activity on hardened computer. I guess what I am asking is what sort of information does the iOS app share with apple and is there enough to associate the devices. I would prefer not to subscribe to multiple vpn's so I can watch youtube without ads, torrent, etc.
Have you read their privacy policy? http://o54hon2e2vj6c7m3aqqu6uyece65by3vgoxxhlqlsvkmacw6a7m7kiad.onion/en/help/privacy-policy
You are like a human library man. Thanks! Been using this for time now and never looked at what they actually say.
No its not a bad idea
Will Mulvad rat on you? No.
But if LE seizes your computer and phone and finds the same Mullvad account saved on both devices? That's an issue.

iOS is espionage with notifications regardless of a VPN on a vps like Mullvad. They stalk you. iOS monitors everything one does.
I have not tested what traffic bypasses the vpn. I would only use a vpn on a phone with a manually set DNS server.
