what kind of madness are we caught up in?

sometimes, I suddenly stop and just think -- where is this? not the world, not the universe, but everything. existence itself. why is there something rather thank nothing? why are we conscious enough to ask these questions but never conscious enough to answer them? are we inside something whose edges we can't see? It's as if everyone acts as though they aren't afraid of the fact that none of this makes any sense. I want to hear the thoughts of the people here who are truly confronting this feeling. what do you think we're actually a part of? what is everything? what kind of thing are we inside? and why us? what is the most logical answer to these questions? maybe evolution, maybe consciousness itself, maybe a creator or maybe quantum mechanics. as I asked in the title, what kind of madness are we caught up in? what the hell is all ''REALLY'' about? If you ask me, I believe in quantum mechanics and quantum immortality.

Hello Sir,

I think it's all conciousness, everything formed out of pure absolute conciousness. Everything is mental and we are barely touching "it" in this plane. We are here to remember where all came from, we are part of that "all", we just forgot everything in this material plane we're in.

thanks for your comment. it really does make sense that everyone, everything and "all" of this actually comes from one source. we haven't yet been able to fully understand what we call "consciousness" as a species. and I call this the universe looking into a mirror. different consciousnesses, the same ocean. different observers, the universe's way of seeing and learning about itself. I believe what you said about "everything formed out of pure absolute consciousness." is based on the belief in animism, which must be one of the oldest beliefs in human history. I suppose the whole thing really is "us". thank you for thinking this through with me. <3

It is my pleasure, friend. While it may not seem obvious because we're all so focused on ourselves and individual experience, I think there really is such a thing as 'collective conciousness'. And it's shaped by how people focus attention in daily life. We really do us a favour by reducing outside noise to find time to hear ourself inside. When there's not much noise inside, everything becomes a bit clearer. And yes, I like how you put it in that the universe is learning about itself thorugh us :). Regarding conciousness, I only heard about animism, don't know to much about it but would like to read more of course. The idea I brought from the laws of hermeticism, which I think reflect very much how our world works. Thank you my friend for your time, sharing good thoughts

What I mean is that, as demonstrated in the tractatus, nobody who lives inside the universe can ever understand it.
