KeepPassXC configuration -- keeping life simple

I just read a post in /d/DarknetMarketsNoobs where someone lost their pin.

I have several hundred passwords. A bit too many to memorize. At least 250. (Work-related.)

This is an example of what my KeePassXC looks like.

Each passphrase has an entropy level of 140 or greater.

I use custom-creation keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste. Takes seconds.

i know I had to do something today! project accepted

one question - is the kdbx file enrypted? can I store that file in cloud storage without pgp'ing it first?

KeePass database files are encrypted -- the whole database becomes encrypted. If you have archives you can do a symmetric encryption and upload that large sum of various dates. I have archives going back 'just in case'. But the current in naturally encrypted. So there's peace of mind.

After you set it up initially, it takes seconds after because the organization is there and you never lose anything.
