Software for Accessing the Darknet via Tor (aka Onion Routing)

I'd say 8GB of RAM is all it needs. On the technical side:

Linxus → VirtualBox → Whonix

Windows → VirtualBox → Whonix

With Whonix, you merely "import" a per-configured setup. The most difficult thing about it is that you start one the Gateway before you start the Workstation. And it feels like a full Desktop environment.

I have 6gb, and it's an old 6gb. lol. If I wasn't being forced into homelessness soon I would be able to use my desktop wich is fairly new and has pretty decent specs. Decent i7 and 32gb DDR4 RAM.

Yeah, the i7 with 32B of DDR4 would make it fly. The beauty of Virtual Machines is that they are disposable. You can import one, use it and toss it away like crumpled paper.

Yeah, sometimes life can be a bitch. I'll get through it eventually. Just have to make due the best I can while I am still in the house and try to set myself up to be able to keep good OpSec when I am out on my own.
