"Avis de Passage" from LaPoste - What to do?

Good evening to you all,

I recently received un "Avis de Passage" from LaPoste asking me to go in person to collect a package.

The previous package was delivered without problems in the apartment entrance.

I'm not familiar with how things work in France (...I moved here recently), and I was wondering:

- What should I do in this case? Best practices tell me not to collect nor sign anything. But maybe this is common in France.

- What happens if I leave it there with my name on it? Anyone had this experience?

- In general, should I take any precautions in this situation?

Feel free to share any advice and knowledge. Thanks in advance.

Hey, in the end it was just a false alarm, it was another package arriving... all good.

By the way, I see you are from France (...and reviewed Merck), willing to share any info on customs when buying EU-FR?
