Hello, I noticed most if not all posts on the phone security are focused on the software but i wonder could anything be done to improve the security of the hardware of the google pixel phones (because only these support grapheneOS), like could it be possible to remove the microphone, is there anything similar to the Intel ME on these phones, are those rumors of phones having seperate small batteries that can power up some systems that could be used to fingerprint you or reveal you. Like i know something about Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) being used to share information even when the phone is off. And could these things even work if the main software is replaced with graphene. Please get as technical as you possibly can.
Should be possible to remove mic, Graphene does claim it can fully sever mic and BLE at software level. Processor a black box though. I would install the google play services on its own profile if at all.
Thank you, could u tell me what exactly you mean by "processor a black box though"
black box as in we do not know what actually goes on inside so it is possible for hardware level backdoors from the chip manufacturer
