Is informed delivery available for private mailboxes?

I searched some on tforum, but couldn't find an answer.

I want to sign up for a private mailbox (PMB) like UPS store etc, to receive packets, because of housemate (not parents!) but I can't find a clear answer if those addresses are eligible for informed delivery (ID).

I mean I may still do it even if you can't get ID for a PMB, but would be a lot nicer if I could.

No they won't have ID for a ups store mailbox since it isn't a usps mailbox. Letter carriers that deliver to the ups store drops off a tub of mail and the employees of the ups store sorts and puts the mail in the box. To the USPS the address is only the store address not the box number.

Informed delivery (ID) is typically available for private mailboxes (PMBs) like those offered by UPS Store and other third-party providers. These services often partner with USPS to provide ID options for their customers. However, eligibility can depend on the specific provider and their agreement with USPS. It’s best to check directly with the PMB service you’re considering to confirm if informed delivery is an available option for your account.
