Inspired by recent events, what suppressed pistols would you recommend for home defense?

I found a lightly used P30 for $500 recently. A little trigger work and an RMR plate and it's pretty much a perfect pistol now.

I just picked up my new saw shiv yesterday, haven't even had a chance to test it yet. My hope is that it will cycle 9mm subs out of my glock 45. I'll try and remember to report back on how it goes.

Maybe supressed subsonic braced pistol instead? It would have fit in his trunk just as easy the normal pistol, and been much easier to use.

This opens the options up to 147 HST and Gold Dots, while keeping training ammo cheap.

HK45 with Obsidian 45. 230 gr subs. VP9T with Hux Flow8k Ti. 147 gr subs. Both shoot well, about the same loudness. The 45 kicks more, even with the can. Granted those are both Browning but the cans should work well on fixed barrel as well. I’ve used both cans on fixed barrel PDW with good results. The 9mm will get you less expensive ammo in a greater variety.
