Yeah we’ll see how much I end up wishing I brought a Glock 20 instead but maybe it’ll be worth it if I brought snap caps to camp lol

It turns out that in bear attacks, it doesn't matter what caliber you carry (.22 LR excluded), just as long as you can get to it and fire it.

I don't understand this at all. Are the rounds loose? Cause wheel reloads aren't thin at all. That's carrying a 5-7 ish circle instead of a 10-30 ish stick. The math sounds like it's solving a problem that didn't exist.

Since the odds you're going to need to reload at all are ludicrously slim, I think carrying your spare ammo in a slightly-slower strip rather than traditional speedloader is a fairly reasonable move.

I don't have a lot of experience with full size revolvers.  I do have a fair amount of experience hiking with gear on my back.  I give you 5 miles before you regret this choice.
