Oh snap, I didn't clock this as a .44 mag! Was thinking .30-30 for some reason. That cartridge certainly limits your options to the realm of higher pressure .45/.46 bore cans, and last time I looked, they're all rather close in terms of weight and performance. Hybrid 46 seems like a solid choice here.
Yep I was recommended some cans that were like 23-27 oz so this thing’s a lightweight in comparison. On a 16” barrel like this it balances out right in front of the lever so it handles better than my chunky AR-15. At least until I get tired of the red dot and get a hefty scope for it anyway lol.
Mine knows exactly what to think of these tacticool lever actions.
I have done this and they have said that I can send it in. The conundrum is I don’t have a lot of confidence in their ability to send me back a barrel that is aligned and my gun has been so customized at this time that it would take a lot of work to get it back to original. Not impossible, just kind of a pain in the ass.
