Is Using Mobile Data Instead of Home Wi‑Fi Absolutely Necessary for Vendors?

Damn man, what happned with your vendor friends? Were they moving heavy wight or what? They got cought? You got me lokey worried hah
Awesome, thanks for the tip oxy. One last opsec question, for the final step of off-ramping XMR to my bank account, I'm having a hard time finding P2P offers that match my amount, and it seems like most prepaid cards are sold out as well. Do you know of any other popular sites or P2P exchanges vendors use for this? I'm trying to avoid KYC exchanges, but Haveno is basically a ghost town for my country/region, and Bisq isn't showing much either. Are there any other solid options out there? Cheers
They moved to a big castle with unicorns and rainbows and lived happily ever after.
Lol, just always try to think about how much time the stuff you're doing carries. If you don't know look it up. Small stuff isn't too big of a deal but if you're getting stuff in like that or doing your thing in the streets then you should know you're signing up for a couple years in the can if shit goes sideways. And if you aren't okay with that, don't do it.

I recommend looking for cards on monerica, select carefully as their card section is quite extensive, as for you swapping to fiat whenever I swapped smaller xmr amounts(50-100k) to fiat I swapped the xmr to btc through trocador or any other no kyc exchange that's trusted, I then sent the btc to a vacant newly made btc cake wallet thats completely new. I then took my btc funds to bisq. I know the shift from xmr to btc is daunting, that is why you get rid of your btc wallet after exchanging, as well as making sure its new. If you don't trust my solution it's best to go to monerica for your cards. You won't find much xmr swap deals that's to your liking unless its a hefty amount
for what it's worth, i have thought about this same exact thing for a long time. and i think some of the commentors have missed an element of your question
if i'm understanding correctly: you're still intending to use Tails via USB on a laptop, and you could still use a bridge (whether it be obfs4, snowflake, etc.). your question, however, is about how that laptop connects to the internet - either via home/personal WiFi, or via hotspot by means of a burner phone with a data plan.
i have to imagine that using an internet source that is disconnected from your personal identify (i.e., the burner phone) would be more advantageous than using your home/personal WiFi, given that the latter is directly tied to your identify, your address, etc. of course you'd still be using the same old Tails and same laptop in either scenario.
please, please tell me why this is wrong though, if i am. but i have to agree with OP that the thought of connecting to the internet via "burner phone hotspot" is almost synonymous with using public wifi (the latter of which is universally accepted as being better than using personal wifi, in terms of opsec).

if you're using whonix and you want to use a bridge (either obfs4, snowflake, meek, etc.), open your Tor Connection GUI.
Click "Configure", and you will see two categories: "bridge" and "proxy".
under the dropdown for "bridge", select whichever you prefer (sounds like "snowflake" in this case). then reconnect to Tor, and you will have connected to Tor by means of a snowflake bridge.
this is as compared to what it sounds like you are doing now, which is connecting to Tor without a bridge (which is totally fine).

Wait why don't you send the btc directly from trocador to bisq? Is sending the btc to cake wallet and then to bisq more safer?
I suppose so but what about the bisq wallet and account? Transactions remain public on blockchain, for best security you should scrap the account after swap, and of course no real info etc.
I see true, but to receive the money in the bank from bisq i need to provide real info, real name and email address no?
