Due to the concerns many of you raised, I’m pleased to announce that I’ve spent the better part of the last 20 hours refactoring UNG Social.

During this process, I also addressed the security issues that were reported, strengthened input validation across the authentication system. I appreciate everyone who took the time to review the project and provide constructive criticism. Those discussions directly influenced these improvements and have made UNG Social stronger.

Privacy remains the goal, not just as a statement, but as something reflected in how the platform is built.

I have an account, you know this. I can't sign in because it says "Please match the requested format" in the username box. Then I try to create another account and get the same error. What requested format? Huh?

At this point I think you're just wasting our time.

Im sure u were able to make the account. Usernames don't have caps on. the format is " no username is to have capital or space in them". My apologies if you feel that way tho.

That's okay. I see that now.

Let's move to usability. You've introduced friction to the sign up process. In general, that's never good.

What was the thought process behind not allowing capital letters in a username?
