I think this idea is alright. I think
many confuse anonymity, pseudo anonymity, and privacy. Anonymity is not
being associated with, if you create a Discord account with a burner
phone number far away from your house and a burner email, use a VPN all
the time, then you're anonymous on Discord, but not private. Discord
never had privacy, AI, and governments can read your messages on
Discord.
Pseudo anonymity is not being associated with directly. Think of many
years ago your Skype account you created, you might of not used your
real name, but if you didn't take the proper steps to hide your identity
such as using a VPN and a burner email, then you have some sort of
trail. Skype logs ips since skype knows your IP they can trace you, but
they don't know exactly who you are because you never gave them all your
info, but if LE were to come knocking on the door they would find you.
Privacy is not being seen or confidentiality. If you buy beer at a store
and the clerk looks at your ID, the clerk knows who you are so you're
obviously not anonymous, but private since let's say for simplicity this
store doesn't use a ID scanner. The transaction is between you and the
clerk, and the clerk cannot do anything with your ID because you see it
right in front of you.
I personally think that anonymity and privacy are basic rights that
should be fought for. The clear web was never fully anonymous and
private even during the hay days' of the 2000's. It's just that in the
2000's you could have some privacy and pseudo anonymity because big data
and AI wasn't as advance as it is today. Acts like KOSA and OSA both
threaten basic privacy and anonymity as governments and corporations
will now know exactly who is who. Both entities can track anyone, but
only with confidence. AI systems only have confidences of who is who.
Also these laws will lead to the government taking away personal
computers and stuff like TOR because they will argue that they have to
for 'child safety' or 'fighting fraud'. Eventually BIOSes will be
locked to the point where only government and corporate software and
operating systems can be ran. They will probably have computer buybacks
where people are encouraged to sell their computers to buy new computers
with these new restrictions. Obviously cloud only is a pipe dream as
many people like myself do not have access to fiber or reliable 5G
internet.

Agreed, that why you should join my brand new sub /d/debateclub, it's where all the Kool Kidz are
Complaining is always easier than being logical. Good post.
Just like the "i have nothing to hide"
group, you've bought into the false premise that these laws have
anything to do with stopping illegal activity. It's about controlling
the population. How do you message your family? I'd wager it's not over
tor and jabber. If the rest of the population was as mentally stunted as
yourself, your credit score would fall 2 points every time you do a
hate speech. But who cares so long as you can get your drugs right? Good
goy.

They want to take more than that. They want a population of human
cattle. These people must be hunted down and liquidated on sight. I wish
tforum allowed a little more discussion of political violence, if
anything to protect its own continued existence. Can't have tforum
without Tor or computers, can you? And without tforum you can't have
drugs. It's retarded to sit on our hands like we are doing.
My man.
Hell yes.
EU ChatControl is simply the front door
of social control, people after a while will start selfcensure and act
AS surveilled. Weak population simply will be more conformist. The child
exploitation is the perfect excuse, but as said before even the dumbest
tforum user know how share an encrypted file

Quite true.
