Do bad onion scam websites even make money ????

I was just talking about how I first started surfing the dark web, found some sketchy sites that looked legit, and then ended up on tforum through a Mental Outlaw YouTube video. Then /u/darkboard mocked me for saying there are sketchy sites that look legit.

I didn't mock you for that. The colouring looked weird, and sounded like you were promoting some link site in a very sock puppet-y way. I am sorry if I was misunderstood.

They’re makin’ bread, it’s a rat race game and bare noobs get caught.

The bad design and sometime grammar/spelling is likely intentional. They capitalize on the stupid and ignorant mostly, same here as anywhere else. If the website just directs you to send the payment without human contact it doesn't really matter. In the event some kind of human interaction is required before they can take your money they want to filter out the ones who are wary of fraud and scams. A lot of them have timers to put time pressure on the desperate, so they don't see low little information is actualy there.

Besides investing more time or money into a decent looking website doesn't hide the absurd claims. Although I think there are plenty of obvious scam sites that look decent at first glance. It's the claims that you have to investigate.

This is the dark illusion part of the game.
