And that aside, most information stolen by AI firms for training are stolen by US-based firms like microsoft, google, openai etc. They run their algorithms on chinese serverfarms. But the actual thieves are full-blooded americans like your -ignorant and oblivious- self.
However, it is part of china's policy and ideology to borrow and reverse-engineer all technology they can get their hands on, including that which can be hacked. It's nothing new. Look up APT1. They've been doing it digitally for decades. And while a lot of technology is stolen from the US, the majority by far is taken from europe, canada, asia and oceania. There's nowhere near 99% from the US alone. Never has been.

Saying that I'd trust an offline and locally run self-trained LLMs for the role of LLM, was me being even more specific as your comment completely misunderstood the very basic and easily understandable statement I previously made. You chose to misrepresent and grossly misunderstand my quite obvious statement by saying it implies there is an AI which can be trusted, which you say you doubt there is, with the exception of offline ones. Ignoring that I was most likely also speaking about trusting offline run AIs and not online ones.
In an attempt to clarify your misunderstanding I used more specific language as I made the assumption maybe you knew more than the basics of AI.. oh how wrong I was.. considering you now want the dumbed down version "because for a lot of people they think that LLMs Machine Learning, AI, etc are all different words for the same thing".
