[Archival Initiative] Preserving Development Assets of 1990s PC Game Repositories

We've been privately preserving the development repository of a well-known 1990s PC game series for over 30 years.

These projects were commercially released in US, Europe and Asia, but source code and assets have remained sealed for over 30 years (excluding some).

Recently, We've started documenting the structure for archival purposes.

This is not a leak. No redistribution will occur.

This initiative is strictly for historical and technical preservation.

Current status:

- 9 repositories: full directory structure documented

- 1 project: partial source code (MAKEFILE etc.) published

- 6 projects: complete assets preserved (graphics, sound, levels)

- 3 projects: no assets recovered (only code and tools)

- All build environments intact

The first project is now visible as a verification sample.

Additional fragments will be published gradually for qualified observers.

This is not a download site.

No screenshots. No full release.

Access is over Tor only.

For archival researchers and technical historians with genuine interest.

We recognize the cultural significance of these repositories, and appreciate the comparison to archival art.

The Internet Archive is indeed a respected institution in digital preservation. Their work on DOS-era software is well documented.

However, this initiative remains under restricted stewardship for now.

The repositories are not available for public deposit or redistribution.

Fragment previews will continue to be shared selectively, for verification and historical reference.

All further access remains limited to encrypted channels and qualified technical observers.
