Just opened a PO box. Am i "safe-ish," or just taking the same risk...

i live with my parents and could NEVER have something sent to
them. i opened a po box a town or two over. anyone have experience with
this?

The downside would be the post office video of you accepting packages.

Personally, i wouldn't do it but a lot
of people do. You can help mitigate some of the risk by never ordering
more than small personal amounts. Also, if one of you packages shows
that it was delivered yet it isn't in your P.O. box, do not go up to the
counter asking for it.

PO boxes are safer than a home address,
but they're not invisible. Law enforcement can still link a PO box to
your real identity through the registration paperwork or surveillance.

A few tips: pay with cash, use a fake name if the post office allows it,
never check the box from your own car, and always wait at least 30
minutes after arriving before opening it. Counter-surveillance matters.

The real pros use drops. Empty houses, Airbnbs, or businesses with mailrooms. But a PO box is a decent start for low-risk items.

if you are the owner of that PO Box
then that's pretty much same risk(in terms of LE), but if you want to
hide from individuals then that's okay..

yes youre good. i would just order somethin cheap off like ebay just to make sure your po box is working.
