If you look beyond the surface-level appearance of the site, you'll see that I have no connection to darknet.fail. While I have no issues with their site, they do use JavaScript and load fonts from external sources, among other things.
In fact, their about page explicitly states their commitment to Tor-native accessibility and protection, with principles that include:
No JavaScript needed
Lightweight design with minimal CSS and no external fonts
No external requests, with all resources hosted internally
