As the title says, I am trying to figure out how to drive traffic to a new dark net marketplace. Where can I advertise? Is advertising on the clearnet an option? If so, on which ad networks can I do this? Thanks for any helpful responses
Honestly, if you are trying to build a DNM or have one built and you actually want to get some users heading there, then before you spend money on ads, you need to find some pentesters and pay them to try to break your site or find vulnerabilities.
You need experienced and trusted pentesters. People who do this already for other markets, not just random baby bottles who no one knows.
Have them test your site for vulnerabilities, then provide you a report on what they discover. Fix those issues, then pay them to test it again.
Once the pentesters have determines that your website is not unreasonably vulnerable to attackers, ask them if they'd be willing to post their experience pentesting for you, what they discovered (if you actually fixed it), and how they feel from a technical standpoint about the security of your site.
Then you need to find larger vendors who have high-volumes of sales who are willing to risk the biscuit on your site and you allow them to bond in for free (maybe even give them a permanent discount on fees since without them you're literally nothing).
Then and only then should you consider paying to advertise. And that's if the pentesters and vendors are even comfortable using your service and vouching for you.
I don't know any pentesters off my head, but I'm sure there are people on here who can lead you in the right direction. Just be aware that you can't necessarily trust anyone on here, so exercise caution in who you ask and definitely who you pay.
It will take years to become a reputable market, but if you take security seriously at this early stage, and showcase your trustworthiness to vendors, then the rest will gradually compound towards success.

Darknetmarkets are always advertising on clearnet sites who are specialized in darknet information.
But as you said nowadayz it can take 3 to 4 yearz these days to run a Market with some good profit.

Buyers are always placing orders with their home address without using PGP encryption too, does that mean it's a good thing to do?
