I can't see the recover wallet option because there is no application visible on screen, nor can I minimize or maximize it or anything

same problem on the clone wtf man. i feel like the problem is super obvious and i am missing it

Oi! do you have the seed phrase stored anywhere? Because if feather continues to not work I suggest trying another foss wallet option for monero the seed will work there.
