Hi, I am new to this and can't seem to encrypt a message using kleopatra without it becoming a file and not the pgp message written so i can copy it and send it. Can someone help me?
Open Kleopatra
Click Notepad
Paste or type your message.
Click Encrypt.
Select the recipient's public key.
Done

The easiest way with Kleopatra is using the Clipboard menu.
Write your (unencrypted) message in your text editor. When done, select all and copy.
In Kleopatra, navigate to Tools -> Clipboard -> Encrypt. Use the "Add Recipient" button to select the recipient from your list of imported certificates. Click the "Next" button.
If successful, you should see an "Encryption Succeeded" message. At this point, the encrypted message is stored in your clipboard. Either paste directly into the market messaging system or paste into your text editor to confirm it's the standard PGP message format.
Hope this helps.

/d/pgp.
While DM is down, I am having a difficult time trying to checkout on DH. I have encrypted my message, pasted it in the message box. Then i have copied and pasted their public key into the message box. No go.. I have put their key into Kleo and tried to encrypt and decrypt there. Still not working... Any assistance here would be wonderful. This is doing my stack in bad. Haha.
