it's my first time ordering something from the dark web, I have done some research and picked a vendor with good reviews on DH, the product was listed as FE, I paid and now the order shows as finalized with no response from the vendor, is that normal or should I expect a status update when it's dispatched? (I picked standard untracked shipping so did not get a tracking number)

Its normal. FE orders finalize the moment the vendor marked the order as accept/processing/shipped. Check your mailbox in a few days time and enjoy your pack.

There won't be any response from the vendor. FE orders move straight to Finalized as soon as they are accepted and no further status updates, but you can assume it's been shipped.
