100% DH vendor with 1500 sales had my package sent to the wrong address, not even in my neighborhood. they go on vaca every weekend so I'm still waiting to hear from them. How screwed am I? Someone's just going to open that package and toss it or use it mainly, right. shouldn't have to worry about cops? only rarely?

depends on what it is, how much, and how strict the local LE is. many cities/counties are decriminalized for possession so if someone there called the cops on your package they wouldn't do anything. If you're in a strict jurisdiction that has active "drug task forces" with politicla will and resources behind thenm, then they're gonna look at you. your name and address is right there, low effort for them to check you up.
Fedex fucked up. showed a package delivered w/ a photo. actual package arrived literally within 5 minutes of me posting this. lol. thanks anways
