Whenever I go to my USPS informed delivery I get a pop-up type thing that asks me this,
"Register your signature online so you can receive packages even when you're not home!

Whenever ive gotten anything before ive never had to sign, its just waiting in the mail for me. I just figured if this was something so that if 1 day if they ever did need my signature I wouldnt actually have to sign since my signature would already be in their system

It's very rare that any dnm pack would need a signature. The electronic signature is a way to give approval for the carrier to leave the pack and have no further responsibility for the pack. Saves them time if a person is not home to sign since they wouldn't have to redeliver and hope the customer is home.
I've never used it because I don't get sig required packages but I don't see any harm, you are not giving up plausible deniability since it's a blanket approval for all signature required packs and not for any specific pack.

as a mailman i can confirm this. When there is an electronic sig on file and i have a package for a house that needs a signature it will just tell me that they have one uploaded and that i can just drop it off. honestly is a great tool especially if you are ordering here since i wont even know what you look like.
Right on man, ya thats what I kinda figured too. Cayse I don't order anything that would necessarily need my sig but like you said how its more of a blanket approval so I'd at least have plausible deniability just in case. Appreciate you bro.

So basically what your saying is its good to have just for incase a package ever does come that needs to be signed for cause the mailman would just then have to leave it there. And like the other guy said too its like a blanket approval cause its not just for 1 package, but for all of them

yeah its for all packages. it is something that will have to get renewed once a year

ya I noticed something about having to get it renewed. I kinda just figure if I don't use it, that's fine & most likely I wont have to use it.
but Godforbid something happens 1 day I like this cause at least I wont be signing for something right there & get jammed up.
