I have a friend who was considering getting Incogni, a service that claims to go to data brokers and removes your personal information from them. This person isn't tech savvy and something like this is probably the best route for them to start on taking back some level of privacy. Are there any services like this that aren't a scam? This isn't an attempt at making them anonymous, but just improving their privacy.
Well, I mean it could straight up be a scam, no? Because how are you guys going to know if he really made a difference? And also, how is he going to remove that shit from every data broker and person who owns you data? I am genuinly asking because I might be missing something...
The service is supposed to have a large collection of data brokers that they check your information on. Then they remove it. Supposedly. I have no idea.
yeah i mean if this is anything legit, it would be fucking awesome, but I have a feeling that no matter from how many data brokers you remove it, there is still probably information about you out there. but no idea myself, I am just speculating...
