My setup
Laptop with qubes OS
Full disk encryption enabled
If not unlocked so they can search and clone the drive, the device will be seized.
How can I conceal qubes from the official and allow a search of the device? I would want it to appear as if it's just the average windows laptop they see each day.

Not sure what on earth you couldn't send to a cloud and then do a gutmann erase on your drives, and download it when you get home, if you insist on taking it through customs
Here's some discussion on qubes forum regarding this exact topic if you want a deep dive, but the takeaway is do what /u/Ghwbushsr says

you can't "hide" Qubes OS during a live search.
Your best bet is a dual-boot setup install a clean windows drive as a decoy. Keep the Qubes drive physically disconnected when showing Windows. that way, you hand over something innocuous while the encrypted drive stays offline.
Still risky, but it's the closest practical workaround.
