So i see a lot of cyber criminals swapping dirty coins a bunch but i'm curious wouldn't this be negative for your OpSec instead of just swapping it straight to Monero? Two examples for the biggest coins:
So let's say someone gets 250 Bitcoin, They swap it to ETH > XMR > Then they keep doing it until they think it's good and get it all in XMR at the end.
Second example, they get 5000 ETH, They deposit it in a service like tornado cash wait a few months or longer get the ETH slowly and then swap it to XMR.
Basically would it be a good thing if you put it through a service for obscurity or better to just swap straight to XMR [Also all with good crypto hygiene.] Also if it's allowed can you tell me any services like tornado cash for BTC?
Sounds kind of /d/laundromat to me
The biggest step is to not cash it all out in once. id say $1000 a day is very safe.
In my opinion, swap it. but dont cashout all in once. there was a market owner that got arrested because he bought $1m worth of gold. cashout like $400 a day, might not be much, but safest option.
first issue is not believing what you read.....no one is swapping a bunch of coins without having kyc swap....any non kyc swap will still put hold on larger swaps under their terms and conditions and frankly most non kyc swap shops are just scams...tornado cash is flagged....if you read my replies on similar topic you will see i did test of sparrow and cake payjoin and they still got flagged by my exchanges security....unless your willing to spend small amounts of uxto that will take many lifetimes to move the amounts your talking....even localcoinswap escrow for p2p can be held and they have right to ask for kyc...specifically if any transaction is disputed they take control of the coins....had it happen to 3 clients and i had to kyc for them to get coins back....all of the post and replies that say you can bounce all around via wallets and non kyc swaps is talk from someone who never tried....theory is great until you try IRL...like mike tyson would say....."everyone has plans until you get punched in the face"...getting punched and then finding the way to fight back is what it takes....measure twice and cut once
